As an optometrist, I know just how common it is for makeup to cause ocular irritation. As a makeup enthusiast myself, I made it my mission to create CHESHMA — a cosmetic line that not only excludes harmful ingredients but goes beyond that to provide nourishment to the area around the eyes.

Everyone deserves to feel confident in how they show up in the world. Equally, we also deserve to feel that same confidence in the safety of the products we choose to use.

About Dr. Sabeti

Dr. Nieka Sabeti completed her Bachelor of Science at the University of British Columbia with specializations in Life Sciences and Chemistry, and earned her Doctor of Optometry degree in Boston, MA. She returned to Vancouver and has been serving various communities as an optometrist ever since. With a wealth of experience running her own practice and caring for patients from diverse backgrounds, she is committed to delivering compassionate, high quality optometric care.

Dr. Sabeti is a member of both the Canadian Association of Optometrists and the BC Doctors of Optometry. She has served on multiple committees of the College of Optometrists in British Columbia and continues to serve now on the College of Health and Care Professionals of BC. Through these roles, she fulfills her passion for maintaining the highest standards in the field of Optometry, preserving the integrity of the profession, and championing excellence in patient care.

She also offers her expertise as a clinical consultant with a strong commitment to driving national initiatives across clinics that address both patient needs and industry demands, always striving for clinical excellence with patient-centricity at the forefront. Inspired by her own patients with dry eye, she created CHESHMA Beauty, a line of eye-friendly cosmetics that are safe for use even by those with dry or sensitive eyes.

Dr. Sabeti combines her extensive clinical experience, unwavering commitment to high quality care, and passion for the cosmetics industry to make a positive impact on her patients’ lives.
